GENESIS International is a not-for-profit organization 501 (c) (3) which focuses on vulnerable groups (women, children, families, elderly) in the local and international community who have special needs to maintain their physical and psychosocial health and their livelihood.  Genesis means “new beginnings, opportunities, growth”  and therefore projects focus on providing initial assistance to help groups help themselves by assisting them to meet their needs, find new opportunities to sustain them during their time of need, and to help re-build their lives and sustain their efforts.

GENESIS International domestic programs focus on vulnerable groups in the local community (i.e., youth, single-parent, care-takers of the elderly, migrants, seniors, and the handicapped).  Programs are offered depending on interest and need for skill development and capacity building to meet the special challenges the groups face.

GENESIS International focuses on establishing new programs in highly vulnerable communities in the international community to increase the capacity of the community members to meet the needs of orphans, vulnerable children, and women. Thus far, GENESIS has focused on pre-schools for orphans and vulnerable children and income generation activities to help them remain sustainable in their efforts to help themselves.  Promotion of safe motherhood programs to improve the health and safety of vulnerable pregnant women and mothers is a new dimension to ensure the likelihood that children have healthy mothers throughout their childhood years.
